Beloved husband of Teresa A. Averbeck (Kampsen) Flannery. Devoted father of Andrea (Andrew) Vieth; Ashley (Michael) Barczak; Jason (Kelly) Kampsen and Joshua (Michelle) Kampsen. Loving grandfather of Annaleese and Alexander Vieth; Norah and Ava Barczak; Elsie and Margot Kampsen and Riley Kampsen. Dear brother of John "Butch" (Mary) Flannery, Barbara (Don) Riddell and Kaye Brefeld.
Gary passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the age of 65 years after a brief illness and was surrounded by his wife, children and loved ones.
Gary was the president of Flannery Painting, Inc. a company he founded in 1995. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, traveling and gardening. He loved his family and friends. Gary was very blessed in his life and was known for his generosity and taking care of others. He will be missed by many.
Visitation from 2:00pm - 5:00pm Sunday, December 30th at Middendorf Funeral Home 3312 Madison, Pike Ft. Wright, KY 41017. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am Monday, December 31st at St. Cecilia Church 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Interment at Mother of God Cemetery.
