Ruth Norrine Kleymeyer

January 11, 1928 — January 9, 2019

Ruth Norrine Kleymeyer, 91 passed shortly after Noon on Wednesday January 9th, two days short of her 91st birthday.  Upon graduation from Beechwood High School, she entered the St. Elizabeth Residential Nurse Training Program where after receiving her R.N. and worked for 10 years as an operating room nurse at St. Elizabeth North Hospital.  She then worked for 25 years as the pediatric nurse for Dr. Vandemark in Fort Mitchell before finally retiring from the Fort Thomas Veterans Administration Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Edna Kleymeyer.  She is survived by her brother John E. (Jack) Professor Emeritus of Planning, University of Cincinnati, and sister-in-law Suzie Murtland Kleymeyer, retired aviation planer, nephew Christopher Kleymeyer retired US Army Lt. Colonel now Director of Operations of the Commonwealth of Kentucky prison system and his wife Katy, culinary arts entrepreneur, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, nephew Ted and wife Sharon retired educators of Park Hills, Kentucky, niece Lisa Dietz Fidelity Financial associate and husband Charles Dietz Hamilton County Building Official of Independence, Kentucky, nephew Matt Kleymeyer general contractor and consultant and wife Beth a mobile pet groomer of Darien, Georgia and nephew Kurt a financial advisor and wife Johnna Reeder Kleymeyer the Interim Dean College of Business Northern Kentucky University of Loveland, Ohio.  She is also survived by six grandnephews, four grandnieces, and one great-grandnephew.  She was a life-long resident of the Lewisburg neighborhood of Covington Kentucky where she devoted many hours as sacristan at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and volunteer with the Legion of Mary, St. Vincent De Paul and the Prince of Peace School.  Her hobbies included travel, collecting Hummel figurines, and ceramics.  In lieu of flowers please donate to the Prince of Peace Montessori School, 625 Pike St, Covington, KY 41011. Visitation will be Monday January 14, 2019 from 9:30 am until 10:00am at St. John Church .  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am. Burial St. John Cemetery. Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft.
