Maja J. Heist

Maja Jane Heist, born on March 14, 1972, passed away at the age of 46 on January 11, 2019.  Maja Attended Bishop Howard Elementary, Villa Madonna Academy, Holmes High School, UK and NKU.  She joined the U.S. Navy and studied at the Department of Defense Language Institute, Monterey, California.  The motto there was, "We learn Arabic, so you won't have to".  She also graduated from the Midwest Culinary Institute in Cincinnati, OH.  Maja is survived by her parents, Jerome and Manda Heist, her sister, Ivana Langford, her brothers, Jerome (Allison), and Filip (Kimberley), as well as many nieces and nephews.  Maja was a proud Veteran and loved her two cats.  Visitation 11:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:05 pm on Saturday, January 19th at Mother of God Church 119 W. 6th St.  Covington, KY 41011.  Interment at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 22nd at Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.  In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed by a memorial contribution to AMVETS or, to any veteran charitable organization of choice.  Middendorf Funeral Home, Ft.
